After the tremendous success of India during the World Cup 2007 at South Africa, followed by the largely similar to the IPL in India and South Africa, T20 has created history in the cricket world by revolutionizing the game. Though the KPL model is a scaled down version of the IPL, the KPL League will have each team play the other only once, followed by the semis and finals.

The tournament is scheduled to be completed in 16 days, with 2 matches being played every day (1530 – 1830 hrs & 1900 to 2200 hrs). The KSCA will do its utmost to ensure the participation of its leading stars. And each of the 8 teams has scope to hire the services of 3 other leading T20 Players from around the country.

All the parties concerned are extremely excited about the prospect of organizing the KPL and we have no hesitation in suggesting that it will turn out to be a very successful venture.
